During the body’s process of handling food poisoning, you will expell a larg amount of fluid. Sometimes this amout can be extremly dangerous and should be taken serious. Most people will need to seek emergency care because Dehyrdration will occur. It sounds as if you may still be showing some signs of dehyrdration with the dry skin and mouth. Drinking a lot of fluids are highly recommended when this has happened and even more since you workout and the body is trying to recover. As far as weight is concerned, this will vary from person to person and with the degree of poisoning that has occured. With the body fluids weighing at a minimum of 8 lbs. per gallon(this doesn’t count solids), you could have very easily seen a loss of 10 lbs. before you started to replenish those fluids. I know you said that you don’t drink a lot but keep in mind that some foods especially vegetables, are 90% water and you can regain the loss that way.
